Strong governance is essential to advancing Land Bank Twin Cities' mission and ensuring long-term organizational sustainability. The Board of Directors provides strategic leadership, fiduciary oversight, and accountability for the organization's mission, financial health, and public trust.

Through the Board and its committees, Land Bank Twin Cities maintains a governance structure designed to support thoughtful decision-making, responsible financial stewardship, and effective oversight of strategic property acquisition, community lending, and mission-driven redevelopment. Together, Board members and organizational leadership position the organization to respond to emerging opportunities while remaining focused on long-term community impact.

Current Organizational Priorities

Guided by its Board of Directors and staff, Land Bank Twin Cities is focused on expanding its ability to respond to community needs through strategic property acquisition, long-term land stewardship, flexible community lending, organizational growth, increased capitalization, and cross-sector partnerships. Together, these priorities strengthen the organization's ability to preserve opportunity, reduce barriers to redevelopment, and support community-driven solutions across the region.

Strategic Framework (2027–2032/2034)

Land Bank Twin Cities is developing its next strategic framework to guide the organization's priorities and investments beginning in January 2027. The framework is being shaped through engagement with community partners, Board leadership, and staff, while also responding to evolving market conditions, capital needs, and emerging strategic opportunities. This planning process is designed to ensure the organization remains responsive, resilient, and positioned to meet the region's most pressing redevelopment and community investment needs.

Board & Committee Information

The Land Bank Twin Cities Board of Directors provides strategic governance and oversight to advance the organization's mission. Meeting six times each year, the Board reviews organizational and financial performance, establishes strategic direction, and approves major mission-aligned property transactions, investments, and partnerships that support long-term community impact.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee meets six times annually between Board meetings to provide timely governance and strategic oversight. The committee supports the CEO on organizational priorities, addresses time-sensitive governance matters, reviews strategic initiatives and organizational performance, and leads Board development through recruitment, nominations, and succession planning.

Finance & Transaction Committee

The Finance & Transactions Committee meets monthly to provide financial oversight and support the Board's stewardship of the organization's resources. Guided by its committee charter, the committee reviews monthly financial statements, oversees the annual independent audit, monitors investment performance, evaluates the community lending portfolio, and assesses organizational capitalization and long-term financial sustainability. The committee also reviews mission-aligned property transactions and financing recommendations within its delegated authority and forwards major actions to the Board for approval, as outlined in the committee charter.
